Sickle Cell Anemia Eradication Campaign
During our CSR engagement, our team meets with Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare; Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. They discuss government tender terms, with Dr. Mandaviya encouraging Transasia to contribute to “Make in India.” We share Erba XL 1000’s success story, a ‘Made in India’ biochemistry analyzer deployed nationwide, and discuss efforts in combating sickle cell anemia, aligning with the Government’s mission through initiatives like NSCEM launched in July 2023.

Erba Institute of Laboratory Technology – Leading the path to a healthier India
The Erba Institute of Laboratory Technology in Panchgani, Maharashtra, is a collaborative effort by Transasia and Bel-Air Hospital, providing diagnostic facilities to nearby regions. Transasia has upgraded Bel-Air’s pathology laboratory with state-of-the-art instruments. It now stands as the largest and most advanced lab in Mahableshwar. Additionally, Transasia conducts vocational courses to train and certify young lab technologists, offering hands-on training and expert insights. Hands-on training and expert sessions cover fundamental practices, microscopic evaluation, and NABL guidelines, benefiting over 200 technicians to date.
A vision for a Thalassemia-free India
Healthcare
Transasia’s CSR arm, the Vazirani Foundation, collaborates with PATUT to fund treatment for thalassemic children needing bone marrow transplants. Together, they organize awareness camps for college students, conduct blood donation camps, and provide support like bedside filters and chelation therapy, aligning with their vision for a Thalassemia-free India.

Food Relief for Cyclone-Affected Victims in Tamil Nadu

Transasia donates 4 tons of rice (800 bags of 5 kg each) to the Collectorate office in Puddukotai, Tamil Nadu, in response to Cyclone Gaja’s devastation. The cyclone caused loss of lives and widespread property damage in delta districts, prompting urgent relief efforts. Transasia’s contribution significantly aids relief operations, providing essential sustenance and support to cyclone victims.

Transasia donates Erba analyzers to Bel-Air Super Speciality Hospital in Maharashtra’s Satara district, including fully automated biochemistry and hematology analyzers, electrolyte analyzer, semi-automated biochemistry analyzer, ELISA reader, and urine analyzer. Amid India’s second wave of pandemic, Transasia pledges over Rs. 3.30 crores worth of equipment to aid disease monitoring. Beneficiaries include Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, West Bengal, Agartala, Assam, and Sikkim, with donations including 200 BiPAP machines, 43 hematology analyzers, and 32 coagulation analyzers.

• Substantial volume orders from Assam, AIIMS, West Bengal, HLL Lifecare, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Kerala, and Rajasthan for diverse analyzers and reagents
Orders range from fully automated coagulation analyzers to hematology and immunology analyzers, catering to a wide spectrum of medical needs.
